Employees find the current variable pay tool outdated and find pay request codes difficult to comprehend leading to errors while filing variable pay requests. An initiative to streamline and find redundant codes was started to reduce the over 1000+ request codes to much smaller number. Managers find it tedious to move across multiple applications to access and approve pay requests. Alerts from variable pay tool do not sync with HR Direct and there is no intuitive method to find and file new requests. A workflow that combines seamless integration between HR Direct and the tool was needed with innovative approaches to reduce errors while filing payroll requests from both employees and payroll team.
